Awesome cg. Large sites with real lots of green grass in between. I would imagine that you need res way in advance for summer, BUT no dogs allowed from Memorial Day until Labor Day, not even in your rig. Wi-Fi basically at gate house or close sites. A bunch of wineries in the area and they are all very good with 5 of them having excellent restaurants.

The rate reflects the Wash state old guys off season pass. Can't say much more about this park than has already been said. We there on a chilly day and the place was about 1/2 full when we rolled in at 12:30 and by the time we were set up, it was full except for the tent sites. We'll be going back there again.

When we got there it was VERY CHILLY and we took a waterfront site. Got all setup and discovered the water to that loop was shutoff (no signage about it). Had to unset and move to another loop where they had water. Oh well, that's winter camping. LOT'S of deer roaming through the CG. This is another of the Wash State Parks gems. There is another cg section, west, and that's not as nice.Try to get a res in the east cg. Oh,and we had about two inches of snow the second night, but that's not the cg's fault.

Really nice park. Some airport noise and no freeway noise, even though it's close. Didn't have a bit of problem getting in or out and I'm over 55' total. And yes the MH was still parked in the same place. Management was very friendly and helpful. The price, $66 total, was for two nights and the third free. NICE. Will stay there again when visiting grandson at school.

This is a rundown park with about two or three sites large enough for larger rigs. There are mostly permanents here in some trailers and single-wide mobiles, but they are quiet. It's very tight and really no place for a larger rig to turn around in. You pull in and then back into your site and then, if you are short enough and no one is on your right, you can turn and pull out. I had to really cramp the wheel and almost jack-knifed pulling out that way, but I didn't hit anything. Most sites are best suited for rigs under 25'. It is however, relatively inexpensive, right in the middle of downtown and easy access to the Victoria ferry.

Stayed here before about 4 years ago and if anything, it's gone downhill. They do have a new bath/laundry room that is quite nice. The roads are dusty and weirdly laid out. In other words follow the map and take the right corners. It is not really big rig friendly, but you can get them in if you are careful. In some sites you have to watch the top of your rig as the trees bend over the sites and you can take out your gutters or poke holes in your A/C. Oh,and you've got to be watch real carefully if you're coming from the south as the left hand entrance sneaks up on you. The pluses are Confusion Hill is right across the highway and the Eel river is just down the hill.

This is the 3rd or 4th time we've stayed here and it's been a good experience every time, well, we did get chased out last January by a severe weather warning for ice and snow storm, but that's to be expected. It's a great location for visiting the area of the coast from Tillamook up to Astoria and there is a great little winery up the river from Wheeler. The only problem that I had was that there were single tents in some of the longer sites and that cuts them out for the bigger rigs.

We love staying here when we're here to see the in-laws.Even tho it doesn't have cable and sewer connections I still rate it a 10.Called at the last minute and they had a river front site for us and we stayed three nights and the third was 1/2 price. Will stay there any time we're in town because it's much more central than any of the others in the area. Easy on and off the freeway and right straight down the street.

I would have rated this a 10, but the sites are so close together that you can barely get your awnings and slides out. I could have rated it an 8, but the neighbors were so great that it was one of the best weeks we've had camping. The bay is right over the little breakwater from your campsite with a nice beach for kites, sand castles, kayaks and clamming. They are planning on doing a bit of re-habbing over the winter as far as taking four sites waterfront on one end and making them three and then in another year or two, they're going to work on the other end. We WILL be going back over the winter and next year.

I chose this park over several others because it seemed cheaper and nicer looking, but I was wrong. We arrived in the middle of a thunderstorm and after checking in they told us where our site was and no-one helped us park. The site was either a back-in or pull-thru and after driving to it decided to go around the park and pull-in.This place has a WHOLE bunch of tight corners and several LARGE boulders to get past. I believe this is the tightest place I've ever been in. Finally got parked and the slides out. The front slide cleared the utilities by 6" and the rear cleared a two foot tree by 2". The tongue is 4" off the ground and the rear jacks are on 12" blocks and all the way down. It is dirty, dusty, the cable doesn't work properly (you have to plug in each TV separately and so we have cables running thru the windows and it was still snowy). Paid $71 basic fee per day, plus $5 per day for one extra person, plus $5 per day for our cockier puppy, plus $5 per day for cable, plus $10 for three days of Wi-Fi. I will say that most of the staff was friendly and the CG was full for the holiday week-end and was basically quiet, even with lots of kids. Also when we got back from the day, there was a note on the door that we were late check-out and to come to the office to take care of the extra day. Did that and discovered that they had only charged me three days DEPOSIT and not the whole four day stay and they weren't very nice about it.

MOSQUITOES,MOSQUITOES,mosquitoes. Horrible trying to unhook, set-up and then re-hook and leave. The park is nice and I hate to downgrade it because of the mosquitoes, BUT it sure isn't nice having to stay in your rig unless you're out sightseeing. Tried to have a fire and roast hot dogs and have s'mores, no-way. The site we were in was tight, but we got in with the great help of the person who showed us to it. Because of the angle of the approach, my Equal-i-zer hitch jammed and I had to pull back out into the road and unhook the hitch and then back the trailer back in with the person behind me yelling at me to hurry up. (He got in a hurry and backed his MH into a tree). The pizzas at the pizza place down the hill were great though and the scenery at both lakes was unsurpassed.

We stayed here for only one night, but wouldn't have any problems staying longer. The help was great and the facilities were neat and clean. There is a putt-putt, batting cage, gym and a couple of other nice amenities like that. The only problem we had was that they put us into a spot that had a middle dump and utilities instead of a rear one and the dump pipe was higher off the ground than my dump tube, but their dump station was very handy.

The only thing I didn't like about this park was the road noise. If it weren't for this I would have rated it a 10. The manager was very helpful and let us know where the nearest store was and made sure that we got a long enough pull-thru site.Sites are level and yes, they do require a pad under the jacks, but big deal. They also have entertainment and BBQ's in the summer. We were impressed by the fact they not only have a dog area, but also a dog wash site. Will stay here aghain.

Stayed here last fall and decided to try it again and we weren't disappointed. The park was almost full, but they finished cleaning a site a long termer had used all winter so we could use it.Yes,some of the turns are tight, but a good driver shouldn't have any trouble. All the full timers are very neat and the place is quiet..Will probably be here later this summer with a group.

We've stayed here a couple of times before and it's a nice place for an overnite. The management is very likeable and a kick. There are a lot of permanents, but are very quiet. There are a lot of shade trees and the sites are long enough for most rigs to pull in and not unhook.

I rate this place a 10 even without sewer hookups. We have stayed here before and will again. It is a bit off the freeway, but in a straight line and a lot of services available. There are riverfront sites where you can sit and watch the boats go by or fish right from the back of your rig. It's a quiet place, even on the weekends when the marina kicks in. There are some awesome boats there especially some of the old Stephens yachts that were actually built right here.

Don't always depend on the TL ratings. We drove 3 1/2 miles each way from the freeway and when we got there at 3:30PM the office was closed and it said register and then find a site. We drove through and weren't impressed with any of it. Narrow roads with overhanging trees, messy spaces, and a lot of junky permanents. I have stayed in places with worse ratings and were nicer places.

I've wanted to stay here for several years. It looked nice when driving by on the freeway. We finally did and it's easy on and off the freeway. The noise follows you in. We were assigned to a site and when we got there, someone was in it, so we took another one and hung out at both ends even tho we were told it was 60'. We almost didn't have enough room for the slides. It is essentially paved and had small grass patches.

This is the site of the annual NW RV.net Mini rally and we love it here. There is no one in our group that says anything bad about this place and we will be coming back here again next year.Yes,it's a bit rough, but it's heavily used and is much better than it was several years ago. The sites are gravel, but basically level and the grass could use some water, but it's still better than some of the "RESORTS" I stayed in this summer for more money. The restrooms, showers and laundry room are all new and there is a nice meeting room. There are two quite good restaurants on site as well as the newly refurbished marina..We like it and use it several times a year.Oh, and yes the view is an eleven and it's within easy walking to downtown..Oh,and it's Coast Guard, not Navy...

We stayed here for 5 nites and it was one of the most restful places I've stayed. It is shady with wide green sites and quiet.Yes,the roads are a bit tite, but if you're any good, you shouldn't have any trouble.Yes,the wifi is spotty, but who cares,I don't rate a park on wifi.It is one of the best parks in the area and handiest to everything and we have stayed in all the major ones.Yes,they have rules, but they were made by the people who work here, workcampers and the dog rules are stringent, but for a reason.

We stayed here over the 4th and the park filled up after about 7pm. Had great neighbors and it was late night. The website shows a lot of big trees, but they have had to cut a number of them down because of age and disease. It is a great place to stay to be able to see the dinosaur experience across the street and the various dino quarries. The Coronado National Monument is a great trip as is Montrose. We went into Grand Junction, and spent some time in the shops downtown. There is also a choice of three Brewpubs there, and we went to the Kannen Valley one. We would stay in this park again..

The only reason for a nine rating was that the sites are a tad bit small. Otherwise everything was great, except for the fact that there are two streets named almost the same, so you gotta read the directions very well and watch for the small signs.. The help is beyond helpful and are some of the best , funniest, people I've met on many a trip. Everything was neat and clean and we were far enuff from the freeway so there was no noise, but close enuff to get on and off easily. One of the other posters said there wasn't too much to do in the immediate areabut I disagree, you just have to go look for it.. There actually are a lot of good rests to eat at in town and a lot of other things.

We had a great stay here. I have ridden or driven by this place since I was a kid and never stopped. I have seen the cabins replaced with rv sites and never stayed here till now and it was a very pleasant experience all around. It is a bit old-fashioned as rv parks go as the sites run from short to stretched and some of them are kinda weird as to the h/u's location. The front, beach, are kinda close, but since there weren't too many sites taken, they were more than adequate.. We have decided that since it's only 45 miles from home, we'll be doing some weekend trips this winter and we'll use the front sites. The restrooms are clean, nice laundry and a very nice meeting room.. Oh,and it has a sling type boat launch and TONS of Oysters which you can either pick yourself or buy in the office..

Marked this down 'cuz the wind never stopped blowing,never,never..Otherwise it would be a ten. A lot of my friends have camped there and they say that it doesn't always blow all the time. Really nice cg away from the freeway and right on the bank of the mighty Columbia River where you can just sit and watch all the boats go by.. The management was very friendly and very helpful.

This is a nice little cg, and the third one we tried on the pm of the 3rd of July. The young lady in the office was very helpful about getting us into a good site (new owners and great people). The sites are quite close together, but you can get slides out and in several of the sites, your awning. That really doesn't matter as you aren't here to sit out during the day. There are a lot of things to do here such as ATV, biking, river rafting and gold panning. The man next to us showed us the flakes and chunks of gold he had found that day panning, and there was almost an ounce. Even though it is right next to a major highway, there was minimal noise at night.

Stayed here for two nights as we were going to do Mesa Verde, but it was so nice and cool under the big trees that we just stayed in the park. I'm glad we stayed here instead of the ones closer to the park as they didn't have the shade this one does. The help was a bunch of fun. There was a nice pool, great looking horses for riding, good food(and bar), clean looking pool, and a pitch and putt. There are lots of ATV's, but you didn't notice them. We would really go back there if we're in the area again..

We were very pleased to have a site here in the middle of town. Yes,the sites are a bit short and a bit close together, but the trees are wonderful for their shade. It was 107 one of the days we were there, and w/o the trees we would have roasted. The restrooms were clean, and the people in the front office were very helpful. We went to the brew-pub, and it was great. We also went up-river to the Red Cliffs Lodge for lunch; some excellent wine and the local film museum is a lot more than you'd expect.

We rolled in here late in the afternoon in the middle of a MAJOR thunderstorm w/o a reservation and were surprised to find that there were sites available. This is a gem on the Columbia River. It is a county park and marina with a great boat launch. The lady in the office was a real kick and very helpful. You just pull in, find a spot, and go register..

We stayed here for two nights as our Excursion blew three injectors and decided not to pull our trailer any farther. The lady at the desk was VERY helpful and found us a site, answered our questions about shops. ( I think we got ******* on the repair bill, though that was not her fault). The next day one of the hosts came around and asked if we needed to go into town, but we had decided to stay at the trailer, and then they asked if we needed anything else. I would definitely suggest staying here. Yes, there is some highway and train noise, but not noticeable. There are a number of permanents, but their sites are really kept up.

This was a very interesting park which is far enough off the freeway to be quiet. The sites are well maintained with gravel pads and green grass in between the sites.Back-ins up against a fence have shade, but not the pull-thru's.It is a very casual place as you just write your site number on an envelope with your money and drop it in a slot.Same for ice.The owner is around, but not intrusive.Overnighters get a free bucket of balls to hit in a highly manicured driving range and there are old tractors all around the park. I rated it a bit lower as the showers and bathrooms are clean, but they are a bit quaint and there is the occasional whiff of the dairy 1/2 mile away..We loved the sunset from there.Great spot for an overnight stay.

Once again this was the site of the RV.net spring rally. We had our first one here in 2003 and decided to do it again here. Once again the facilities were great as was the help that helped us to set it up. The sites were all great, and the seasonals were very neat. The only down side was that the pool was still closed and the temps were in the really high 90's. It is a great to visit the Willamette valley wine country. Just down the road is the town of McMinnville and also the Evergreen Aviation Museum, home of the Spruce Goose.

This is one of the cleanest parks we've stayed in,the sites are all gravel and no grass, easy back ins, but a bit tight.. That's not a problem as you're basically here for one night or using it as a base camp.It is great for that as it's 1/2-3/4 hr into S.F. same to Napa and out to the coast. There is a small deli on site and the bread and sandwiches are awesome. Staff is very friendly and helpful as I had mechanical problems and helped get in touch with techs..BD..We are planning on next spring again and will plan on here.

The only reason I'd rate this down is that it is dangerously close to too much shopping. The other reason is that a number of the sites are a bit short. We wanted to park w/o unhooking but had to anyway as we stuck out on both ends. They were very nice about late arrivals and the staff was friendly.BD. We'll probably stay here on the way back home..

Really great place to stay when you are in Stockton as it's very central. Right on the river and you can watch the boats go by, big and bigger.. Nice place to stay just off of the highway and easy access. It appears that they are doing some work on the park and it needs it. There are a number of full-timers, but they are all quiet and neat sites.BD. Sites are in some trees and wide enough for slides AND awnings, if needed. There are a couple of good looking places to eat nearby and several large fuel stations.

We really had a better stay than last time when we had to stay in the back row in a p/u..We were supposed to have a premium site, but we were too long for them and got the next level site and actually had a better one for less money..The staff is extremely helpful and they tour the cg at all hours, but aren't obnoxious..The food is good and they also had a great concert on the Monday we were there.BD. All in all this KOA is a cut above them all and we will stay here again..I would have rated this a 10, but I am still trying to find a perfect one..

Did not stay there as we had to cancel, but had a bad time with that.. Made res LAST year for the 4th of July week as part of a group with only the phone #.Told the res deposit was $45 which we paid and were not told it was non-refundable..Cancelled in April with message,no reply.. Same again in May,no reply. They called to confirm res in June and I again cancelled and told no refund.. They called again middle of June to confirm and told us that we owed $213 past due for site and they were again told that we had cancelled,so they did again and no res refund..Watch out for this place..

Very nice park even though though some sites are kind of close together and they don't seem to take into consideration the type of equipment you have..Restrooms and pool areas seemed to be well maintained and the grounds were pretty neat..Was not at all happy with the attitude of some of the help however as they were more interested in their own business in the office than answering questions. It also appeared as if they should be trimming some of the trees and widening some of the access roads to make it easier to get to your site and then into it.. Even that said it was a pleasant place to camp...

What can you say about this park that isn't good. It is neat and clean, the hosts are great, the scenery is great and the weather was wonderful, even for the first week in April. Some of the sites are a little tight to get into, but I wouldn't want any changes to them as the bushes really are part of the place. The experience is more than be appreciated in less than several days though, so plan on spending that much time there. We were told that there were a million day and overnight users last year,so plan your reservations accordingly. Will be going back ourselves this summer..

They have finished the upgrades in the full h/u area and it is really first class.. We have camped here before and it's still a great place to go.. Nice park with pull-throughs in the front area (big rig) and back-ins in the back part..Does need a bit of upgrading and does have some full-timers,but neat..The big trees make it like a state or NP cg. NO road noise from the freeway, near the airport tho and it is pretty easy to get too..It is the best park for traveling around the Olympia area.. All employees were very helpful and the owner loaned me a bucket of hot water to thaw out the faucets so I could fill my onboard tank because the temp never got above 28...BD. This park is close to the freeway, but no noise. There is a Pacific Pride as you go into the park and you are only 1 mile from several fun restaurants and fuel stops. There are a number of permanents, but are neat and they are in the process of re-graveling and leveling the sites..The management is very helpful and pleasant. Being at the intersection of hwy 12 and 410, it is quite handy as a home base for trips in the local area..BD. There is also the race track at Elma that has some good racing in season..

I thought that this was a very clean cg and would probably stay here again .Huge shade trees, nice clean pool and spas, game room, nice smaller meeting room and quiet library.Showers and laundry exceptionally clean. About 1/2 of the sites are seasonal, but are very neat..I agree about the way that the sites are set up as I had a car parked across from the back of my long pull-thru and a tree on the left as I came in and it did make it a little hard.. There are some small pull-thrus and long ones also..

This is an attractive park located about 200 yards from highway 101, so needless to say there was a bit of noise ALL nite long. We were told that we had a 61 foot pull-thru, but the nose of the TV and the tail of the TT barely fit and my total length is 54'. There is a small tree in some sites that made it difficult when you pulled out. Also had to pay $5 for each of the kids and we didn't even unhook the TT or leave the campsite. My total cost was $50 and some of us wonder why Wal-Mart is so attractive.

This is a great park close in to Stockton, just off of I-5 and is right on the banks of the San Joaquin River where you can actually see ocean going ships go by. Some of the sites are a bit tight, but are seperated by a hedge and a tree in each site so are nice.. Restrooms were always clean and the management is very nice, with a caretaker that brought us cookies... It has a security gate, actually one to get into the marina and a card gate to get into the park.

This CG is on the beachfront from Gold Beach right next to the small local airport. It is about a 100 yd walk to the river and the beach from here and about three blocks to food and the Rogue River mailboats and four to town... The sites are gravel and relatively level and it is aimed at the fisherpersons that come here. We enjoyed our stay and understand that it can be difficult to get reservations for the summer season. The management was EXTREMELY helpful with local info and even came over and helped us with the hook-up.

We stayed in the old rv park annex as they are in the process of finishing up a brand new section close to the water. This is slated to open the end of May and will have full h/ups, wi-fi, satellite cable and nice large paved sites with landscaping. There will also be a dry-camp overflow area. It is right next to the Oregon Aquarium and the Rogue Brewery and an easy trip over the bridge to Newport. I gave it the rating I did because the place will be awesome after they finish and then rehab the annex part also.

This is the first time of probably many stays here. They were really nice about my checking in early and out late as they weren't really busy. The owners are very pleasant, as was the camp host. The sites are level gravel, the hook-ups were handy, there was plenty of room on the interior roads for any size rig and were long enuff for my TT and TV. It is right on the edge of the river and has fishing, kayaking, and rafting possibilities. BD.

Very nicely kept up state park on the Columbia River. Would have been a much nicer stay if the wind hadn't have been gusting up to 50 mph the nite we were there. There are a number of recreational things to do there and most of them have to do with the river: swimming, boating, wind-surfing, etc... There are several restaurants in Vantage, two miles north on the freeway. This is also part of the Ginko Petrified Forest preserve, which is a wonderful historic site.

This is a great Washington State campground and is located in a popular area on Hood Canal. There is bike riding, hiking, clam and Oyster digging in season and just an all-round sense of relaxation. There are a couple of good restaurants located in walking distance. The camp sites are set in circles and large enuff to afford some privacy, but close enuff together so that if you are in a group you can feel together. There is one LARGE group site and a smaller one, but these fill up early. The campground also has several large platform tents for rent at $35 a nite.. Wonderful family experience, but get your reservations in early.

Once again I have to say that this is still one of the nicest CGs I have stayed in. They are continually upgrading the facilities. Don't look for concrete pads as this is beachfront and the surfaces have to be pervious. The restrooms and showers have been upgraded and along with the two restaurants on site, there is now a kayak rental facility, a B&B, and the home of the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Society, as well as a first class marina. All this and the view, this is a definite 10.
